Raheen Woods Hotel

Wow what a fabulous stay we had at the Raheen Woods! This beautiful hotel is located in a lovely quiet area. The gardens are lovely, the room was spotless clean and very comfortable, the bar and restaurant area had a lovely atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious! The swimming pool, sauna etc.. were very well maintained. And a huge bonus for people staying with children is a great soft play area. The staff were amazing and so helpful and friendly. Special mention to Julie and Tundy (not sure if that is spelt correctly!) who went above and beyond for us and made our stay so amazing.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Rooms were standard. Staff were friendly especially the girls on reception and Eileen in the bar is exceptional. The food was average.

Raheen Woods Hotel offered a perfect blend of tranquility and convenience for my recent stay in Athenry. Here's a breakdown of my experience: Location: Just outside the charming town of Athenry, the hotel boasts a peaceful woodland setting. Despite the serene location, it's very accessible, being just a minute off the major motorways and a short walk from Athenry itself. This makes it a great base for exploring Athenry or venturing further into County Galway. Ambiance: The hotel itself exudes a modern and stylish atmosphere, with well-appointed rooms that blend comfort with contemporary design. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, adding to the tranquil feel. Amenities: They have a fantastic leisure center with a swimming pool, gym, and hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. They also offer a spa, though I didn't have a chance to experience it myself. Dining: I wasn't able to check out all their dining options, but the breakfast was delicious, with a full Irish breakfast on offer. They have a Mc Hales bar which offers a wide range of food selection. EV Charging: They have 2 wall box charging station in the underground car park. The hotel also includes dedicated super charging stations for Tesla owners which are now open to non Tesla drivers too but with a higher price.

The family room was a good size for us, our 3 year old and baby... there was plenty of room for our suitcases and pram, and room for our 3 year old to play. Our son loved climbing the bunk bed! Beds were comfortable and a travel cot was provided for our baby. We had breakfast included, full Irish was lovely and then all the other options and cereals, yoghurts etc which was perfect for our son. The dinner food in the restaurant was also tasty and there were plenty of options. All the staff were lovely, professional and friendly. We used the pool, went to Kardiokids and did the little Fairy trail, which were all fun. Every member of staff we met or dealt with was lovely, friendly, professional and helpful. Location wise, it was a handy little 3 min drive to Athenry main streets for food or tesco etc and also close to Galway city. I loved our stay here and would happily book again!

Room was warm and comfortable, no outside noise, slept well. Bathrooms need a few extra products to feel a bit more welcoming, examples shower caps, body lotion etc. We enjoyed the pool, the steam room and the hot tub were great. Again no body wash in the pool showers was disappointing, but maybe it had just run out on this occasion. Pool staff were great, very friendly and offered extra towels.
